Kulik guide, Bryce Rushbrook, is back with another fishing report from the banks of the Kulik River. Give us the rundown, Bryce!
Kulik Lodge Fishing Report: June 29 – July 6
The second week of operation has come to a close and the fishing has been phenomenal. The Kulik River continues to produce excellent rainbow fishing and the list of fly out destinations is expanding with each passing week. Guest are enjoying excellent fishing for rainbow trout, arctic char, and graying. The warm sunny weather has provided excellent dry fly opportunities for rainbow trout and graying.
Fishing for king salmon has continued to be excellent with plenty of fish to keep the rods bent throughout the day. Several fish over the 20 pound mark have also been netted. Guest and guides alike are enjoying our new boats on the Nushagak. With plenty of room to move about and greater ability to move around the river the king salmon fishing program has never been better at our king camp!
The bears have arrived at the Brooks River just in time to oblige those joining us to view bears. The first sockeye are also in the river and jumping the falls.
